One email is enough to start. The four questions below are what I will ask anyway, so answering them now saves a round trip.

What to send

  1. Product — what it is, and a photo or a link if you have one.
  2. Quantity — first order, and expected repeat volume.
  3. Destination — country and, if you know it, the port or warehouse.
  4. Target landed cost — the number the product has to hit for the business to work.

Already placed the order and something is wrong?

Put URGENT in the subject line. Mid-production intervention, defect documentation, or supervised rework — from $399. These are answered first, before new enquiries.

What happens next

A reply within one business day (China time, UTC+8), with one of three answers:

  • This is something I can do — here is the project fee and the first step.
  • This is outside what I do well — here is who might help.
  • I need one more detail before I can answer.

No newsletter, no sequence of follow-up emails.

Before you write, run the numbers

If you have not calculated the landed cost yet, do that first — it takes two minutes and it answers a question that no conversation can.
